I use these primarily for winter and mud season trail running. I have yet to find a condition where these shoes do not preform well. On road, off road, muck, gravel, rock, they have been great. 20+ miles a week through the snow and spring melt and they would look new if I cleaned them.
I have a hard time find a shoe that will keep my heels locked down due to a high arch and wide front foot. They fit so well, I have a pair of non-GTX for warmer dryer conditions. They are easy to over tighten. Once they are laced, that’s how the fit is going to stay.

All seams hold – no splitting – even under immense use in all weather (frigid, snow, rain, severe heat). 35-45+ miles a week. Dirt/mud/snow/ice/rain/concrete/stair-workouts/hills/etc. My past shoes would begin to tear-away after 3 months.

I bought these 3+ months ago and wanted to wait until I hiked the Grand Canyon Rim 2 Rim before reviewing. Just completed the hike earlier this week and I couldn’t be happier with the performance of these shoes. With more than 130 miles on these during training hikes, and then the actual hike, these maintained excellent grip, comfort and water resistance. Even with the extreme canyon temps, one change of wool socks during the trek kept my feet in great shape and no hot spots or blisters. Feet stayed dry after multiple BA creek crossings to/from ribbon falls and the creek leading up to to Indian Gardens. I would definitely buy another pair when these wear out, but they still have plenty of life. Having owned 7+ pairs of Arc’teryx shoes, these are the best in their entire line-up in terms of comfort and durability. The only thing I would do different for my next R2R is pick up a pair of gaiters to help with the sand and loose gravel present on the trails.

I purchased these a few months back. I wore them everyday on a trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland including around cities and hikes up carrauntoohill in county Kerry and up cave hill near Belfast. I also wore them on morning runs a few on trails and a couple through some cities. Most of these outings there was some rain from mild to wild. Performed amazing in all aspects feet stayed dry, great traction, and the sole performs great for longer runs. I have found some soles are too soft such as the Nike Pegasus trail this is a bit stiffer and bit more pop to it. Overall I love this shoe! I just wish they offered a wide size, I’d even pay a little extra. In boots I normally get a EE size, tennis shoes I get away with standard width. Not with these my feet were definitely hurting after the longer days.

I bought these just in time for an Iceland trip. Wore them for a couple days in advance to break the in and off we went. These weathered through snow storms, climbed volcanos and mountains as well as hikes glaciers and didn’t slip once, kept my feet dry and were amazingly comfortable the entire time! Highly recommend!

The LD 3 GTX, my second pair, amazing shoes, super comfort, versatile, great performance, just top!

For me, the perfect shoe; they’re massively cushioned, which is awesome because a lot of off road shoes minimise the cushioning, they’re waterproof, as much as a low top shoe can be, the soles are really well cleated, if I had one criticism it would be that the laces don’t stay tied unless you double knot them. I have wide feet and they fit just fine and length I would suggest, is true to size. Super comfortable and so far, holding up well.

I couldn’t be more please with these shoes and their performance on and off the trails. I was in need of some new hiking shoes and I prefer trail runners to actual hiking books for their light weight and streamline fit. I knew I was going on a big trek so I opted to try these out as an alternative to my Sportiva hiking boots which, were bulky and wouldn’t fit in my travel pack. I had gone on a few hikes with these shoes around the bay taking them on trails and on pavement to break them in before hiking the full 40 miles around the Andes Mountains. These shoes did not disappoint, I was the only person on the trek that didn’t develop blisters. They handed well on gravel, rocks, stream crossings, rock hoping, and were also around town and through the airport! They are gortex so my feet didn’t get wet and they shoes were still breathable so event through we had long hiking days, my feet weren’t that sweaty.

Very water repellent in wet grass

I was looking for a stylish hiking shoe that was also waterproof. These shoes fit the bill! They are durable, comfortable, and 100% waterproof as advertised.

I bought these shoes earlier this year after previously owning the Norvan LD 2’s for about a year and a half. I’m a frequent runner and these shoes are not just comfortable but also durable and extremely supportive for me and my footstep placement. Whether out on a trial, asphalt track or pavement roads these shoes will do their part, short and long distance.
Thanks Arc’teryx.

Super comfortable and water resistant. Very grippy on rocks and soil.

Bought it few weeks ago, used since day one! I confess I use the not for rock running but for everyday life instead.
Love the fit, water stay way out the way and the foam is well cushioning my steps. Then after Arcteryx style, Vibram Rules!!!!

I got my first pair of these in Spring 2021 and have owned 4 pairs since! I love the cushion on these shoes – so great for long distances runs, walks, or standing on your feet all day. This shoe has become my ‘do everything shoe’ from trail runs, to my walking commute, to my work shoe. The shoe tends to run wide but this works really well for me. Can’t say enough praise for these!
Brett –
This is an outstanding pair of shoes. I’ve been running in a pair of these for over a year now, ranging from training runs around the neighborhood to 10k – 50k runs here in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest.
In terms of performance, these have become by go-to pair of shoes for colder, wet conditions that are muddy, slushy, or have snow up to six inches. My best day in these shoes was running a marathon over 20 miles of snow. They were soaked by the end, but my feet were warm and the fit was so good for me I never got a single blister. I have 200 miles on them now and they’re still in really good condition. Couldn’t ask for more.
Small details. The lace garage is excellent, and the flat laces are so much more comfortable and easy to adjust than the Salomon system. I did have to replace the insole to get the right amount of arch support.

These shoes are light to wear, highly functional, and effectively waterproof on rainy days. They are the second pair I have bought

So glad I switched over to trail runners from hiking boots.. I thought I would try these and glad I’ve found a match.. I’ve done lots of alpine hikes 20-27 kms through Strathcona. These shoes have held up through everything.
Nicholas B –
Extremely pleased with the quality and durability of this shoe! Wore it for 8 hours 5 days a week throughout the entire summer while hiking and running in an outdoor environment (which was grassy, rugged, wet, gravelly, etc.) and they performed and held up beautifully. I also ran a race in these and they performed amazingly. The Gore has lasted much longer than I thought and is so breathable!

Love them size fits a half size than I’m used to but great shoes

I got these 2 weeks ago and have done quite a number of miles in them now.

excellent!

Love the high level of quality, very lightweight. I have neuropathy really bad in my feet, and coupled with having to stand for 8 hours at my job, they are a game changer for me. I have to use special orthotic insoles, so I ordered a size up, and inserted them and I’m no longer in pain. Thank you

SO nice shoes!Lets go hiking

I run trails daily, and these have become my go-to set. Just the right amount of stiffness to feel comfortable on the dirt and gravel, but cushy enough for the odd jaunt on the pavement. They keep the weather out but are not too hot on warm days. A great overall product. Fits true to size.
