This hat fit well since I have a big head. But the price went from $35 to $55 in about one year!
Alex –
I got the blue color one because it is my favourite color. the cap is so comfortable and absorb sweat very well! the sweat also dont leave stain even after it drys which is nice! I use it for running and i swear a lot this cap is perfect for highout use really recommend get it and hope they will come out more colorways!
JSGR –
Very light weight, great heat release and air movement. Quite happy with this hat and that it fits like a normal hat and not the traditional running hats which do not work for my big head (7-3/4). Home run, will be ordering more.
Jessee –
I bought this cap to protect me from the sun during my trail runs this summer. After a weekend of backcountry trail running, I can say that I have tested the product well and that I am very satisfied. The cap is well thought out for athletes: it is very light and breathable, in addition to being reinforced at the points of contact with the head and forehead. The only negative is that even though I took the smallest size, it is still a little big…

I love this hat but I wish they would bring back some of the old colors. I still have the navy blue/sky blue version but the orange/grey hat recently bit the dust. It would be great to see some of those old versions brought back or some new takes. Also really like the size of the logo.
Murr –
Returned the lrg/xl as this design runs far too big, but after getting the sm/med size I must say it’s a brilliant purchase. It’s light, comfortable, breaths well and has a favorable style. I saw another comment saying the logo is too big, but it looks just right to me. Would recommend to anyone who runs or casually hikes for sun protection or to simply sport it around town.

As I expected. It is the best Cap I ever owned. Definitely recommend this.

I have had many running hats, which are essential for high-sun, high-altitude running in Colorado. After losing my favorite hat from another brand, which is now discontinued, picked up the Calvus and I am very impressed after a few road and trail runs.
1. Breathability. I’ve never had a hat with as excellent airflow- even the sweatband areas on forehead and temples are airy. The hat material is not only light and airy but somehow cooling. Quite stealer, I’m reaching for this on hot days
2. Bill/brim/peak. The hat bill has a little stiffness- it’s not as flimsy/pliable as many typical running hats, but it’s not as thick or firm as typical ballcaps or truckers. I think it’s just right, it will keep shape and protection in weather. Perhaps a drawback is it’s not as crushable/stuff in your vest, etc, but I don’t mind that. The bill has great size and coverage, slightly larger than average running hats which I really value for exposed road running or running above treeline. Most importantly, when the hat is tight enough, the bill flips upward and stays put- a performance feature I find really valuable in changing light and terrain and I want a little more peripheral vision, steep descents/ascents, forest canopy, etc. but that leads me to my one slight concern:
3. Adjustment strap- it’s a little hard to get the excess strap into the garage to stow, which can limit the tightness. With some wrestling I was able to tighten it down and had no issues
This is a clutch piece of kit that I will use many times a week in a variety of outings. I would really love to see this hat with some more color variety, black, white, and highlighter yellow is not the best

Love the fit, amazing material and it works.
Love the simple design
Saran –
Love the fit and look. There is a foam in the front part that keeps it firm and does not crumple.
Run H –
Great hat, nice wicking material and little structure. Fits larger heads very well.
ArcFan –
Super lightweight, very comfortable fit. I don’t usually like wearing caps and get hot in them. Not so with this cap I forget that that I have a hat on.
Calhoun –
I have had one of these for more than a decade and it is the only hat that comfortably fits my small-ish head. It is comfortable, breathes well, and has worn like IRON. Mine is black and looks and feels like new except for a less than expected amount of fading. I’m going to buy a white one for variety and to have a cooler choice on the hottest days.
John –
This is a great lightweight cap, perfect for hiking on sunny days and just about anything.
Andy –
I have a huge head and this hat fits. If you got a monster noggin like me, this hat if for you!

The new Calvus, with its price almost doubled, justifies every penny with its superior upgrades. The enhanced quality, comfort, and functionality make it feel like you’re getting twice the value of its predecessor, proving that the higher cost is well worth it for the remarkable improvements it offers.

I’m really pleased with my recent purchase! The fabric feels luxurious, and the sizing is just right. The design matches the online images perfectly, and the attention to detail is impressive. This piece has quickly become a staple in my wardrobe. I’ll definitely be back for more!
IguanaPirenenca –
After loosing that hay model twice, my wife was very sad because its comfort, big visor and breathability.. and also the look. This new version is even softer in touch.
Summitseeker –
I just bought this hat because I love my two previous Calvus caps and wanted one in blue. However, I am disappointed with the revised Calvus Cap. It fits completely different and isn’t as comfortable. It comes down too low and hits my ears, it also doesn’t fit my head as nicely. I miss the original Calvus Cap and wish it was still available to order as an alternative to the revised version.

Fit / Size true. The thing is great, perfect sun protection during all kinds of activity, pickleball, running etc. No sweat, completely breathable and looks great.
Jacknicro –
Really large, perfect for my large head (I have a larger head than most of my friends, but nothing extraordinary:). It does release a weird chemical smell under direct sunlight (I have the black version). Still, I like it and ive been wearing it every day since I got it.
ZBG1 –
White colour looks like a dirty white..not pure white so I returned it. The fit was bulkier than past models as well. So sad as I loved the previous version of this hat.
Maxinslax –
I love this hat! It’s the only hat I’ve ever found that fits my size XL head, 61cm. It almost goes all the way down to my ears, this is what hats are meant to fit like! My older brother who has a 63+cm head also ordered one after trying mine on and it even fits him. Thank you Arc’teryx, for making a hat for the big headed folks.
Ssawtoothsean –
I had the chance to wear this hat this summer on an alpine hike. Great sun protection and like that its fully packable. Sizing seems to match my perceived sizes. Would recommend to anyone.
Linda1667 –
I love all Arcteryx hats.
Fit me perfectly and love to colour
